Discover Paddling Week
North Wales

If you're looking to get into Canoeing or Kayaking or have just started out and looking to learn some new skills and develop existing ones then you've come to the right place.
This four day course will take you on an adventure around the best that North Wales has to offer.
You choose the craft you want to use: maybe canoe, maybe kayak, maybe a mixture of both.
We'll use a variety of locations which will be chosen according to your individual wants
& needs as well as the weather and water conditions. These may include:
> The Llangollen Canal including the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct - A UNESCO World Heritage Site
> The River Dee - a world class river with a rich history of whitewater paddling
> Llyn Tegid (Bala) The Largest Natural Lake in Wales
> The Mawddach Estuary - Wales' Prettiest Coastal Paddle in The Shadow of Cadair Idris
> The River Conwy/Conwy Harbour - a River, an Estuary, a Castle then Fish & Chips to finish!
> River Severn - technically only just in Wales but a stunning tour of the countryside nonetheless.

Paddling Technique - making the most of your craft, efficiently and gracefully.
Equipment - try our range, work out what suits you and what doesn't.
Planning - where can we paddle? what factors do we need to consider when organising a trip?
Safety & Rescue - how we keep ourselves and our fellow paddlers safe on and off the water.
Navigation - keeping track of where we are and knowing where we're going.

This course is run by Adam Robson, an advanced performance coach
